"To delight our customers by providing them with a product and service that exceeds their expectations - The first time, every time."

In order to provide you, our customer, with a product and service that exceeds your expectations on every project, Industrial Publishing is dedicated to ongoing company improvements. We do this by:

Hiring and training the right people. Our goal is that our people understand your needs and are able to exceed your expectations in their production capabilities and their customer service skills.

Targeting specific customer industries. It is our goal to consistently be the best that we can be. It is a commonly known fact that you cannot be all things to all people, so it is our goal to focus on providing the products and services where we are the best in the industry.

We will continue to be innovative. Industrial Publishing has a long tradition of being innovative and seeking out opportunities to improve what we do for our customers. We will continue that effort as we focus on our customers' needs.

Constantly exceeding customer expectations. We have the goal to not just meet your expectations, but to exceed them. This is not just a slogan for us, but a daily goal. At Industrial Publishing we do not believe it is unreasonable for us to expect more of ourselves every day, we instead believe that is how progress is made.

Consistently be the easiest printer in the country to do business with. This goal is simple in nature, and requires honest reflection. We pride ourselves on our customer service. Our people will go the extra mile to ensure that each customer is guided through our processes in a manner that reflects their individual needs.

Our History

Dick Pierce invented rapid turnaround auction brochure printing in 1978 when he founded Industrial Publishing (IP), a member of the Pierce Family of Companies. At that time, our company had a great deal of experience working with the auction industry through our My Little Salesman catalogs. In an effort to better serve those customers, Dick and the rest of the sales staff asked their auction customers what they needed in order to improve the auction industry. The answer led us to creating rapid turnaround auction brochure production, from concept to dropped in the mail, in 72 to 96 hours, with dependably correct copy creation and absolutely bullet proof consistency.

At that time (before desktop publishing, FTP sites and the Internet), it was very difficult to convince an auctioneer that a little printer in Eugene, Oregon, could do a better job than a local printer. But through hard work, exceeding customer expectations, and the close knit auction industry, news of our capabilities spread by word of mouth and in a few short years we had helped to change an industry.

That industry change also changed our company as we experienced growth to meet increasing demand. By the early 1980's, we knew we would soon outgrow our existing printing facility. In order to accommodate our rapid growth, we merged with Koke Printing in 1986. Koke Printing was founded in 1907 by the Koke family, whose reputation for quality and exceeding customer expectations had grown for nearly 80 years.

Together, Industrial Publishing and Koke Printing designed and built our current printing facility, and we moved into the 64,000 square foot building in 1989. While operating from this location, we have seen many changes in the printing and auction industries. In spite of these ongoing changes, we still work every day to exceed our customers' expectations. It is hard to believe that a simple concept, one that was so elusive to the auction industry, allowed Industrial Publishing to grow to a point where we now command 40% of the North American auction brochure market, and print 11 million brochures annually for over 200 of the largest auctioneers.

Through dedication to the principles set out by Dick Pierce, and the relationships with our auction customers, we have worked consistently for over 25 years to continuously improve on the original concept. We continue to remain true to our roots founded in rapid turnaround production of printed auction marketing materials.
