FAQs
Q: How can you be a better choice than my local printer?
A: We have over 28 years of experience in this particular niche and are very familiar with what kind of timeframe and design needs your industry requires. All of our services and staff are under one roof, offering you great convenience. Plus, PDF proofs provide an instantaneous way to check and approve your artwork before press.
Q: What makes Industrial Publishing a leader in the auction industry?
A: Our time-sensitive process has been perfected over the decades to provide you with hard-selling brochures with a speedy turnaround. Our knowledgeable staff goes the extra mile to assist you in any way possible. We know even the small details are important, so our proofreaders check these details a minimum of three times per brochure. Your personal coordinator is available to give you answers to any questions you may have. We are constantly changing as technology does, so that we can offer you the best services available at the best cost. It’s hard to beat the simplicity of making one phone call to your sales representative and have every aspect of your brochure production arranged.
Q: What is the best way to send the pieces of text and art for my project?
A: If you have digital photos and listings in computer files, you can provide everything in minutes via email, or upload your files using our Filepro System on the World Wide Web. If you have conventional photographs and handwritten list sheets, simply ship them to us and we can assemble the brochures from whatever you send. Just remember, for efficiency, please try to be as complete as you can when providing information.
Q: How should I get my images to you?
A: You can send your images through e-mail, upload your files using our Filepro system, or send them on a disk. Label the files with your name and/or project name, and send to your sales contact or fill out our contact form. When sending via e-mail, each picture needs to be no more than 2 megabytes. When sending on a disk, be aware that if you are able to fit more than a couple of pictures on a floppy disk, they are probably too small.
Q: What file formats do you accept?
A: We accept most image file formats, including TIFF, PCX, BMP, PDF, JPG (JPEG), and GIF. If you use JPEG, please save your files with Low Compression, Fine or High Quality settings (the more information collected, the better).
Note: We cannot use images that have been inserted into a Word document.
Q: Can I send my own sketch layout for you to set up?
A: Yes you can. Please follow the instructions on the layout, copy and photography pages to ensure that you have everything we need to get your job into production right away. Please do not hesitate to call us if you would like help figuring this out. That's what we're here for!
Q: How many photos can I use in my brochure?
A: Typically, 4-6 photos will work nicely per page. This can vary depending on how much text you may have and the size you need the photos to be.
Q: Can I get a quote for how much it will cost before I print?
A: You sure can. Fill out our estimate form. A sales representative will contact you right away and give you a quote.
Q: How can I determine an expected delivery date?
A: Here is a sample of how we can turn around up to an 8-page brochure for up to 15,000 pieces. If you have the job to us early Monday, we can have a PDF proof ready for you to check after midnight (Pacific) on Tuesday. Call us with any alterations you need made on Wednesday, and approve those changes by 5pm (Pacific) the same day. We can get the job printed on Thursday. We can have it trimmed, folded, and ready to ship or mail by Friday.
